Pain can show up in areas you don’t expect.

I’m Dan. I treat the cause, not just the site of the pain. That means working out why it hurts where it hurts, then treating that, and making sure you understand it before you leave.

How I treat

Treat the cause, not the site of the pain.

The same idea shows up four ways. Most therapists treat where it hurts. I work out why it hurts there.

01

Biomechanical compensation

Your hip hurts, but you hurt your knee six weeks ago and changed how you walk to protect it. The hip is where the compensation landed.

02

Myofascial referral

That knot at the top of your shoulder blade is very often serratus anterior sitting tight underneath. Release that and the knot lets go on its own.

03

Nervous system pain modulation

Pain is real, but the trigger might not be there anymore. Guided, pain free movement helps the nervous system unlearn it. It looks witchy, but the science is real.

04

Fascial line work

Climbers hold hard positions under load and the tightness travels. I follow the fascial line down the body rather than hammering the forearms.

Meet Dan

I went in for a sore knee and walked out without it.

That was the moment I understood massage was a genuine clinical tool, not just something that feels nice. It is what led me into the profession. I’m a qualified remedial therapist, bodyworker, dry needling practitioner and personal trainer. I am not a physiotherapist, and I’ll always be clear about where my scope ends.

Every appointment starts with a conversation, not an assumption. I want to understand how I can help you feel better and move better, so that at the end of the session you feel calm, heard, and move better.

Who I treat

The range is the point. You came to me for help, so why would I send you away?

Brilliant therapist! I have a range of chronic pain issues, including fibromyalgia. Dan managed to release many trigger points without me feeling like I'd been hit by a truck the next day! Feeling actual lasting relief for the first time in many years. Could not recommend Dan more highly!

I have had a serious neck and lower back problem for decades .i recently had a Car accident that caused worse nerve pain to my body . I have had steroid injections , physio, chiro you name it for years .i have been seein Dan now every two weeks for a couple of months and my neck and back feel 95% better for nearly a week in between visits. He certainly knows how to get into the BS muscles that are debilitating . i am so thankful my friends with similar muscular pain recommended you to me Dan. You have been a life saver. Kind, caring, compassionate, knowledgeable, professional and a great listener, are just a few of Dan’s great qualities. Dan has got me through 18 months of having to wait for spinal surgery, 9 of those months being pregnant, and if it wasn’t for Dan I honestly believe I would not have been able to work full time and live somewhat of a normal life during that time. Two spinal surgeries later, I am now back with Dan for pain relief during recovery and after my first session back with Dan, I was able to go for a walk outside for the first time in 2 and a half months. I have referred my Mum, Dad and Partner to Dan and they all think he is amazing too! We all recommend Dan 100% to anyone.
